During the meeting that was held recently at the headquarter of the Agency of Construction and Projects in the region's Secretariat, a delegation of the Industry and Energy Committee of Asharqia Chamber and the Secretary of the Region, Engineer Fahd bin Mohammed Al-Jubair, discussed the challenges and obstacles of investors in some industrial cities under the supervision of the Secretariat. In addition, they agreed on approving the formation of a joint working group whose mission is to discuss the challenges facing investors in private industrial cities, to propose the necessary solutions and to work on the development of municipal services.
Al-Jubair affirmed that the Secretariat is flexible and takes the lead in cooperating in solving the problems faced by industrialists in the industrial cities as it is always ready to encourage investors and cooperate in facing obstacles.
He pointed out that the industry is one of the most important pillars of the vision of the Kingdom of 2030, with being at the forefront of the foundations of the renaissance of peoples and the progress of countries.
For his part, Ibrahim Al-Sheikh, a member of the Board of Directors of the Chamber and Chairman of the Industry and Energy Committee, said that the delegation of the Committee presented examples of the problems faced by investors in some industrial cities that fall outside the supervision of the Industrial Property Authority in the region and proposals for solutions and services needed to facilitate their work in them.
He praised the meeting and the rapid response of His Excellency the Secretary of the region to form a joint working group and invited them to the periodicity of meetings between them, which reflects the keenness of the Secretariat and its interest in overcoming the obstacles faced by industrialists in the Eastern region.
The meeting was attended by Undersecretary for Projects and Construction Engineer Essam Al-Mulla, and the Board Member Saadoun Al Khalidi.
